Act 2 scene 2

Duncans death was surprising for everyone. one morning  Macduff found Duncans body along side the guards. He alerted  everyone and everybody was shocked. After a while Macbeth felt the guilt kicking in and decided to own up. ” O, yet I do repent me of my fury that I did kill them” meaning Macbeth killed  Duncan and the guards that saw.

later on in the scene Donaldbain and Malcolm feel the fear. “There’s daggers  in men’s smiles” quotes Donaldbain. “To Ireland I. Our separated fortune shall keep us safer”. This means that if Donaldbain and Malcolm are apart and away from the crime scene, then they will be safer because the person that killed Duncan my want to kill them also in there eyes.

Re-read your quotation in your first paragraph – can you clarify what it is that Macbeth feels ‘guilty’ about?
