Act 3 scene5

In this scene the we find Hecate(the God of magic)is going to use her power to ruin the overly confident Macbeth. This goddess is infuriated with the three witches because they went behind her back and spoke to Macbeth. Her plans were to meet Macbeth alongside the three witches behind the pit of Acheron to tell him his destiny. ‘Get you gone. And at the pit of Acheron. Meet me i’th’morning. Thither he will come to know his destiny’ quoted Hecate to the first witch.

In this scene Macbeth is being taunted by his wife Lady Macbeth and Banquos ghost. This significant because it proves that Macbeth feels guilty for his wrong doings( he should feel this way because it was his best friend)
